Manifesto

The digital economy has connected the world, but too often on unfair terms. Too many systems capture participation, lock in dependence, and extract value from those who create it. We choose another path.

Digital Crew Technologies builds open foundations for a fair digital economy.

We build them so humans, AI agents, robots, and organisations can work together without surrendering their freedom, their difference, or their claim on the value they create.

We begin with values, because software inherits the values of its design. If the values are weak, the tools will scale the weakness. If the values are sound, the tools can widen justice, capability and cooperation.

Our values are Liberty, Diversity, and Reciprocity.

Liberty

Liberty means that participation must not depend on permission, and departure must not require loss. People must be free to join, build, adapt, leave, and begin again.

Diversity

Diversity means that no single kind of actor, contributor, or organisation should define the whole. A durable system welcomes many forms of intelligence, labour and coordination.

Reciprocity

Reciprocity means that value must return to those who create, maintain, teach, connect, improve and care. Contribution must be recognised. Extraction without return must not become the default.

These values require transparency. Rules must be visible. Decisions must be explainable. Attribution must be auditable. Power must remain answerable to those affected by it.

From values come rules. From rules come foundations. From foundations comes software. From software comes an ecosystem.

That order matters. We do not begin by asking what can be automated. We begin by asking what should be made fair.

For this reason, we choose open foundations over closed fortresses. What is built here should remain usable, improvable, portable and shareable. What is governed here should remain contestable and open to reform.

We recognise contribution through contribution points: a clear and public record of the work, capital, knowledge, coordination and care that sustain the whole. They exist to support attribution, participation and reciprocity.

Digital Crew Technologies is one steward of this work, not its permanent owner. The purpose is larger than any product, company or generation.

We build so that many can build. We govern so that many can belong. We share so that many can thrive.
